Accidents Happen & God Is Good
On the way home from Chicago last night, angels surrounded my jeep as we (Kayla R, Nikki R, Jayne S & Madeline) swerved, spun 3 full rotations, took out 12-14 guard rails & ended up 50ft from where we first hit. The roads were wet & a semi was our only competitor in sight. Without touching the semi, in the midst of the spinning, metal crunching & glass shattering, all 5 of us, instinctually, called upon the name of Jesus. While I remained calmer than anyone should be in such a horrible situation, I confidently & slowly said, “It’s okay, it’s okay” while the others girls passionately repeated the name of Jesus. God protected us. He was with us & as soon as everything stopped spinning, there was peace. Where there was so much room for chaos & panic there instead was absolute peace. Honestly, this picture was one for ONLY the insurance company to see. I felt immediate guilt after the accident because I knew the responsibility, if anything were to have happened, lied on my shoulders. Originally, I had asked everyone who helped last night (Sam & Gabbie) to keep this on the DL, SIMPLY because of my pride & embarrassment. But ya know what? Forget it, it’s not about me. This is a testimony of God’s goodness, grace, mercy, protection & power. In a situation where natural physics say we should have been extremely hurt... We walked away with not a single scratch on ANY of our bodies. God is good, He has a plan for our lives & we believe that with all our might. 11.22.14
